Choosing the Right Gym and Gym Workouts to Help You Get the Body You Desire

Before joining a gym, be sure to check it out thoroughly. The salespeople at the gym have only one goal and that is to get you to join for as long as they can. Don’t be in any hurry, talk to some of the members and get as much information as you can before you make your decision to join.

Some things you should know about the gym include, do they have the right equipment for your gym workouts, how long have they been in business, have they violated any health codes in the past, and do they have a good safety record.

Now that you have found the gym that is right for you your next step is to write down your goals. What do you want to get out of your gym workouts? Do you want to lose weight? Do you want to add muscle mass? Or you may have different goals that you wish to achieve.

A common myth is that long, strenuous cardio workouts burn a lot of fat. All this really does is break the body down causing you to be stressed and tired. In order to burn the most fat you need resistance training done the correct way.

Your gym workouts need to be intense and short. Resistance training far outweighs long cardio workouts. Resistance training done correctly gives you a great cardiovascular workout while also developing lean muscles and raising your metabolism.

Remember the more your heart rate is raised the higher your metabolism which burns more calories which burns more fat. A good way to increase the intensity of your workout is to do non-competing supersets. These are done by working different body parts back to back with no rest between exercises. An example would be to do pushups followed by a set of pull-ups.

Remember these three key points to help you achieve a great body. They are workout for short periods of time with high intensity, practicing good nutrition, and get lots of rest.

Other good practices are to always use strict form, rarely do less than 5 reps per exercise, and always do the full rep of the exercise to stimulate all the muscle fibers needed for muscle growth.

Along with a balanced diet you need the proper supplements to enhance your gym workouts. The supplements I recommend are a high quality multi-vitamin and a good protein powder.

Also remember to drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated, don’t work the same body part two days in a row, and get lots of rest. Just remember these simple tips and you will achieve your goals and have an enjoyable workout experience..
