Walk In Contentment And Experience True Joy – Part 2

Our Lord Jesus Christ pointed out in Matthew 19:23-24, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again, I tell you the truth, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” We can learn how to live on almost nothing or with everything. When we focus on the riches of this world, we miss the point and are far from being content.

But we can avoid many spiritual dangerswhen we have just enough and learn to be content with it. We need to be careful to use our money with integrity and be satisfied with what God has given us. If we allow greed to take hold of us, we will find ourselves compromising our values to satisfy our desires. Money never satisfies; only God can meet our need for fulfilment in life.

If you decide to see life from God’s point of view, you will definitely be content in every area of your life. We need to focus on what we are supposed to do and not how we want to feel. We also need to have our priorities straight and be grateful for everything God has given us, whether it is little or much.

Often, the desire for more or better possession is really a longing to fill an empty place in one’s life. You can find true contentmentwhen you draw closer to God. Let HIMbe your inspiration and source of power; and you can never go wrong. Your heavenly father knows everything you need. If you look up to HIM, with a prayerful heart, He will supply your every need. There is conflict when we want something that God has given to a friend, colleague, relative or neighbour.

Instead of asking God for what we need, we try to get what He has given to someone else. But God has something goodfor each of us and we don’t need what belongs to anyone else. And we certainly never need to harm anyone to get what we need.  Our Heavenly Father has more than enough for everyone. HE owns the cattle on a thousand hills!

The secret of contentment is to let the Lord supply all your needs. If you do your part, put God firstand rely on His Word, you will experience true joy. Our needs will never exhaust God’s supply. I encourage you to be content with life’s circumstances, entrusting them to God’s care. Nevertheless, donot be satisfiedwith your own spiritual progress nor count yourself to have arrived and achieved it all.

Instead, be committed to pressing on toward the goal. Learn to balance contentmentwith a desire for excellence and you will have ongoing spiritual growth and advancement. Godliness with contentment is great gain and as you choose to be content, you will strive for excellence each day.

If you are content with what God has given you, you will operate under His will for your life. Thanking and appreciating God for what He has given you will move you to greater heights in life. Child of God, always walk in contentmentand experience the joy of the Lord.  PEACE

PRAYER OF SALVATION

If you have not already committed your life to Jesus and you would like to do so now, please pray this prayer:

“Lord Jesus, I am sorry for all the things I have done wrong. Thank you for dying for me on the cross, to set me free from my sins. I ask you to come into my life as my personal Lord and Saviour, and fill me with the Holy Spirit. Thank you Lord Jesus. Amen.”

Congratulations, if you have prayed this prayer. Please look for a Bible-believing church, to fellowship with the brethren. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of any assistance to you. Remain blessed and enjoy the presence of the Lord.
