4 Healthy Winter Breakfast Warmers

For many people it is hard to get going during the cold winter mornings. With the cold, dark weather outside sometimes the last thing you want to do is get out of bed and get going. However, the right breakfast choice can really help you kick start your day. That is why today I am going to be providing you with four winter breakfast warmers.

1) EGGS:- Eggs are a healthy, versatile and tasty way to start your winter morning. You can have them boiled, poached, scrambled or as part of an omelette. On top of this eggs are one of the best sources of protein you can find. They also provide you with a number of important nutrients including amino acids, vitamin A, vitamin E and vitamin D. So if you fancy something a little different in the morning go for one of the many varieties of egg that are available.

2) FRUIT:- There are many fruits out there but the majority of them are high in fibre and rich in vitamins. Most fruits are also low in calories due to their high water content. Furthermore, many fruits are portable meaning that if you are in a rush in the morning you can have a piece of fruit whilst you are on the move. If you are on the go most mornings then perhaps fruit is the perfect winter breakfast idea for you.

3) OATMEAL:- Oatmeal is a fantastic source of fibre. It can help regulate your blood sugar levels and also protect you from a number of health conditions. Oatmeal is also very satisfying meaning that it can help you avoid mid-morning snacking. However, probably the best thing about this breakfast choice is that it is nice and warm meaning it is the perfect way to start your winter day. So if you are feeling a bit chilly one morning then maybe oatmeal is the winter breakfast choice to go with.

4) PROTEIN SHAKES:- Like fruit, protein shakes are a great breakfast choice if you are on the move. They are quick, convenient and take less than a minute to prepare. Protein is essential for building and repairing your muscles. The shakes also come in a variety of flavours including chocolate, banana and vanilla so there should be one that suits your needs. Therefore, if you wake up and do not feel like a full winter breakfast perhaps a protein shake is good alternative.

Winter is not many people’s favourite time of the year. It is generally cold, dark and miserable. Sometimes it is hard to face the day ahead. However, with the right winter breakfast you can kick start your day and be ready to face whatever it throws at you.
