The Bible Code & 2012

One is going to find extremism on both sides of these two concepts. The BIBLE CODE was published in 1998 by Michael Drosnin. The book puts forth the proposition that there is written in the Torah a secret code about future events. By taking out all of the punctuation and running sentences together, and then applying a computer model horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, one finds secret messages. It’s almost as controversial as the Mayan 12.21.2012 date.

But, how wild can we get if we put those two theories together?

Without going into the credibility, one way or the other, of the Bible Code, let me simply give you what has been found in the theory posited by Drosnin. But, hold on to your hats as we go through three “findings” if they are, in fact, that. At a point wherein Drosnin is linking the Hebrew year of 5772 (which equates to 2012 in the Gregorian calendar) two words are found: Earth annihilated. That’s not good news; however, it does follow one of the many arguments found in society today.

But, let’s not get too excited here as there’s more to come.

Drosnin has further found that the words darkness and gloom intersect with the word “comet”. This seems like putting together a cosmic crossword puzzle at times. Close by of course, he found “It will be crumbled, driven out, I will tear it to pieces.” Since this is in the 5772 period (our 2012), one can interpret that the infamous Nibiru or Planet X (if such exists) will not impact us, nor will any other comet. Whoever “I” is (I know I AM) will destroy it. So, like I said earlier, it’s not all bad news.

Now comes the potentially good news.

For you see, a third phrase (who knows there may be more) is found in the same area as well, which asks the question, “Will you change it?” The proposed translation is will WE (the ones we have been waiting for?) change this dastardly difficult direction ahead of us or will be given in to the egoic mind and destroy ourselves?

The bigger questions that are msot probably are the Bible Code real, valid, truly prophetic insights written by the Creator and is the Mayan 2012 date something real? Two interesting questions that seemingly merge at a time that much is being debated. What’re your thoughts? What’re your questions? More importantly, what’re your answers?

As a spiritual-futurist, I have a BA degree majoring in history. One cannot know the future without knowing the past which holds clues to what is on the horizon. The world is in such a rapid expansion of knowledge that we are close to entering a tipping point that will forever change earth as we know it.
